Flaunt It Fridays #14 - Twinkle Toes

I sing with a group called Common Ground. All our music is in black folders. I decided to decorate mine so it stands out. 

I am a horrible flaunter today. I have no idea what I cut anything out at. I do know that everything was done with scraps.

Flaunt It Fridays #10 - Indie Arts

This is the challenge at Flaunt It Fridays for this week...
" For this week's challenge we are asking you to make something with the INDIE ART cartridge and the cut choice this week is the LIPS . You can create anything you want and for an extra challenge try to challenge yourself to create something different from last week's project. If you do not own this cart feel free to use any similar cut from any cartridge, you have one week to enter the challenge."


I do have this cart as it was a freebie with my Christmas Gypsy! I made a Valentines Card this week.

Recipe
*Lips cut at 2 inches from Indie Art
*Lips - red scrap with a glitter paste made of DecoArt Triple Thick Brillian Brush-On Gloss Glaze and Martha Stewart Cherry Popsicle glitter
*Shadow - bright pink scrap
*Seal - Free Digistamp from Digital Delights colored with Crayola colored pencils (since I don't own any markers)
*Sentiment - I have very few stamps, so I made a rub-on from a tutorial I saw at The Paper Boutique.


I had my 5 year old niece - Heidi on Saturday. She wanted to play with my cricut. The little stinker knows what buttons on the gypsy to push to make it cut. She knows how to load the paper. Her favorite part is taking off our cutouts. She made 2 of these cards while she was here. One card is from her mom and dad and the other card is for Grandma and Grandpa. She was so excited that she smeared the rub-on running back and forth to show Uncle Vince. She decided she needed a desk in my craft room and had Uncle Vince bring in a TV tray to put beside me. She found a stool and got right to work. She wanted to add more to the inside of the card and used the free digistamps Big Heart by D2D at Delightful Inspiration and Heart Gumball Machine at Little Scraps of Heaven Digital Designs.

Help For My Niece's Classmate!

Last week I posted some pictures of 3 of my nieces and the shirts we made. Hannah (the 10 year old) asked us to save can tabs. A boy at her school broke his leg earlier this year playing football. The leg would just not heal. After testing, they discovered the little boy has cancer. The school is saving can tabs for the family. The tabs will be sold to help the family pay for treatment. He has a younger sister who is close to my 2 year old nieces age. My sister has given up 1 day a week of Henley's daycare so the mother of this little boy can have a place to take the little girl when they take the boy to treatment. 

I made these 3 boxes for my sister's family, my parents, and my family to put our tabs in. I didn't have the correct cartridge, so I used a bear I had.  I also didn't have a trashcan, but this box is gonna hold "can" tabs! :) Here is my submission for the Flaunt It Fridays: FIF #8 - Give A Hoot challenge.

Spending The Day With 3 Of My 4 Nieces!

Yesterday my sister took her oldest daughter to go Prom Dress shopping. She asked my mom to watch her younger 3 daughters. Nee Nee (me) went over to help. I took my expression, gypsy, and all that goes with it over to help my mom. I mentioned making shirts that the girls could paint from stencils cut from freezer paper. Mom said go for it. The 2 older girls chose what they wanted on their shirts and I picked something out for the youngest. I figured Hannah (10) would want to help me cut out her stencil, but no. Heidi (5) wanted to do everything she could. 

All 3 shirts fit into a challenge - lucky me. Hannah wanted "Girls Rule Boys Drool" She picked out a green shirt and painted with PINK, yellow and blue. We picked a crown for Henley (2). We got a PINK shirt and painted the crown yellow with PINK jewels. I am entering these into My Pink Stamper's first Blog Hop! 

Don't know why the color washed out.

Heidi wanted a shirt she could wear to her sister's,  Holly (16), basketball games. They are The Tonkawa Buccaneers. Their colors are orange and black. SKULLS and CROSSBONES are always a big hit with the Bucs. Heidi decided on a flag with a SKULL and CROSSBONE and the word Bucs. I am entering this shirt in Flaunt it Fridays  -FIF #7 - MINI MONSTERS Skull challenge.

Hannah and Heidi had so much fun helping with their shirts. Henley wanted to, but I didn't think she was old enough. She did, however, make her own design...

 

MY PINK STAMPER - 

I don't have any stamp sets yet (on my wish list). I can use PINK though.

"Girls Rule Boys Drool" was cut on at 1" from Plantin SchoolBook using Roly Poly. The "drool" drops were cut out at 3" from Paper Dolls for Everyday. They were welded to the word Droll using my Gypsy.

The "Crown" was cut at 12.47" from Paper Doll Dress Up.

FLAUNT IT FRIDAY -

I don't have Mini Monsters, but I do have a couple carts that have SKULLS and CROSSBONES (a must have for my family). The flag with SKULL and CROSSBONES was cut at 6.35" from Paper Doll Dress Up. "Bucs" was cut at 1" from Plantin SchoolBook using Roly Poly.

FIF #6 Hello Kitty Greetings Airplane & Blog Hop Friday!

I am entering my first challenge. It is at Flaunt It Fridays.  The directions are:

          For this week's challenge we are flaunting the Hello Kitty

          Greetings cartridge and the cut is the Hello Kitty with

          Airplane on Page 65 of the handbook. If you do not own

          HKG feel free to use any cart with a similar cut to make

          yourself a "Faux" Hello Kitty and Airplane.

Well, I don't have the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge, so I had to make a "Faux" Hello Kitty. So, without further ado, here is my very first challenge..... 

I decided to make a Door-hanger. "Fly On In!" seemed like a cute saying to allow people to come into some little girl's room.

Recipe:

• Door-hanger - (Tags, Bags, Boxes and More) cut at 11.58"out of a Rice Chex cereal box and a pink striped paper someone gave me
• Cat - (Everyday Paper Dolls) cut at 3.76' out of white card-stock only using head and tail
• Airplane - (Everyday Paper Dolls) cut at 1.63" out of a scrap of a gray resume paper and black cardstock
• Thought Bubble - (Indie Art) cut at 2.88"out of white card-stock
• Fly On In! - (Cursive 101) cut at 0.9" out of a scrap of pink paper

I used my Gypsy to weld my words and hide the sentiment that was already in the thought bubble. I cut the body off my cat and only used the head and tail. I used my black ZIG Millennium pen to show detail on the cat and airplane and to trace around the thought bubble. I wish I had face stamps, but that is on my LONG "wish list". I used my small foam squares to make the airplane pop out.
