Summer Fun Blog Hop - Day 2

Welcome back to Day 2 of Creations with Kathryn's Summer Fun Blog Hop. I hope you enjoyed yesterday and are having as much fun - or more - today. You should have arrived from Jen's Confessions of a Scrapaholic. Wasn't her lay out made with Every Day Paper Dolls just too cute! If you have just stumbled upon my blog and would like to start at  the beginning than go to our wonderful hosts Kathryn's blog Creations with Kathryn.

Well, I had intended on getting another project done for today, but we had another 100+ degree day today. It got up to 111 degrees where I was. Our poor air conditioner just can't keep up and all I want to do is lay in front of the fan. But don't worry. I still have something for today - and I really needed it.

With these temperatures it is just dangerous to do much of anything. (Thank goodness my parent's have a swimming pool and they live just a few blocks away.) My mom and I are concerned about us staying cool. My dad has some health issues lately and we just don't want him to overheat. We decided to make some "Cool Wraps" and boy do they make a difference. Any time my husband and father are doing yard work we make sure they have one on. We made one for every person who was at my folks on the 4th. We are gonna start selling them at the craft shows.

Here is one completely dry.
After soaking in water for 15-30 minutes they become like this. (Sorry for the blurriness.)
Not only do they keep you cooler while out in the heat, but they can be used for other reasons too.
1. Put a Cool Wrap on a forehead when fever is present.
2. Place on eyes to reduce puffiness.
3. Use on head to relieve migraine/headache pain.
4. After soaking, heat for 30 seconds in the microwave to help relieve sore stiff joints and muscles.

Thank you for stopping by. Please be sure to come back again and see what I have been up to.

You next stop on the hop is Jessica's That'z Uneek.

Summer Fun Blog Hop - Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of Creations With Kathryn's Summer Fun Blog Hop.You should have arrived from Jen's Confessions of a Scrapaholic. Doesn't she make some awesome things. If you just stumbled on my blog and want to start at the beginning, go visit Kathryn's Creations with Kathryn.

I can't believe I haven't posted in so long. I have been so busy. Since my last post I got ready for and participated in a craft show, been on vacation, helped watch my nieces, and had family in town for over a week. On top of that, we have had almost 20 100+ degree days since my last post. Needless to say, I have been hot and tired and not really in the crafty mood.

I have a friend that plays soccer for Colorado Rapids. We try to make it to a couple games a year. We go to away games because Blackwell, Oklahoma is not near Denver, Colorado. This year it looks like it will be just one. We missed the Dallas game because of a date change. :( We did make it to the Sporting Kansas City game. They have a new soccer only stadium and it is gorgeous. My husband would have loved to play at stadium this nice. Wells said it is one of his favorite stadiums to play in.

I take tons of pics at the games. I never know what to do with them since I don't scrapbook. I decided to put these pics together in a Photo Montage. Yes, most of the pictures are of #15 - Wells Thompson. He is the reason I am there. I included a picture of me with Wells after the game.

I hope you enjoy it.

I hope you are enjoying your hop so far. This is a 2 day hop. Be sure to come back tomorrow. I have 1 or 2 things to show you. (Depends on what I can get done between now and tomorrow.) I know one will help you stay cool. I know need to. :) Your next stop will be Jessica at That'z Uneek. I am sure she will have something I could never in a million years think of. :)

Until next time ~ VinDeeLoo
