Summer Fun Blog Hop - Day 2

Welcome back to Day 2 of Creations with Kathryn's Summer Fun Blog Hop. I hope you enjoyed yesterday and are having as much fun - or more - today. You should have arrived from Jen's Confessions of a Scrapaholic. Wasn't her lay out made with Every Day Paper Dolls just too cute! If you have just stumbled upon my blog and would like to start at  the beginning than go to our wonderful hosts Kathryn's blog Creations with Kathryn.

Well, I had intended on getting another project done for today, but we had another 100+ degree day today. It got up to 111 degrees where I was. Our poor air conditioner just can't keep up and all I want to do is lay in front of the fan. But don't worry. I still have something for today - and I really needed it.

With these temperatures it is just dangerous to do much of anything. (Thank goodness my parent's have a swimming pool and they live just a few blocks away.) My mom and I are concerned about us staying cool. My dad has some health issues lately and we just don't want him to overheat. We decided to make some "Cool Wraps" and boy do they make a difference. Any time my husband and father are doing yard work we make sure they have one on. We made one for every person who was at my folks on the 4th. We are gonna start selling them at the craft shows.

Here is one completely dry.
After soaking in water for 15-30 minutes they become like this. (Sorry for the blurriness.)
Not only do they keep you cooler while out in the heat, but they can be used for other reasons too.
1. Put a Cool Wrap on a forehead when fever is present.
2. Place on eyes to reduce puffiness.
3. Use on head to relieve migraine/headache pain.
4. After soaking, heat for 30 seconds in the microwave to help relieve sore stiff joints and muscles.

Thank you for stopping by. Please be sure to come back again and see what I have been up to.

You next stop on the hop is Jessica's That'z Uneek.
Until next time ~ VinDeeLoo

What a great idea. With so many of us dealing with such high temps, this would be so helpful. Good luck with your venture.

Sure these are great for the heat. What do you use on the inside to make them puff up? Great idea.
