Butterfly Kisses

Creative Cutter Room is having a challenge called "Love Bug". I immediately started thinking of butterflies and then song "Butterfly Kisses" came to mind. That was the song my father and I danced to and my wedding during the Father/Daughter Dance. I went to my cricut and gypsy and got to work. I pulled up a butterfly from Gypsy Wanderings and welded the shadow of 2 together, like they were kissing. My wedding colors were black and white with red accents. I went to the living room - where my computer lives- to print the picture of the us dancing. I then saw the picture of me and my grandfather. During the money dance, my 94 year old grandfather got in line. He gave my sister the money and waited. When it was his turn he said," In the 68 wonderful years I was married to your grandmother, I never danced with her. I can't start dancing now, but I can give you a kiss." Our photographer caught the moment on film. This is my favorite picture with Grandpa Joe. Within a month of our wedding, my grandfather's health took a turn for the worse. He started having stokes and never fully recovered. Three years later he passed away. He would have been 98 on his next birthday. I miss him greatly. He and my grandmother were my role models. I honored Grandpa Joe by having my sister escort him down the aisle. He was the only living grandparent at our wedding. My sister named her youngest daughter  after Grandpa Joe. My 2 year old niece's name is Henley Jo.

I decided that I wanted to use my favorite picture with Butterfly Kisses.

I had this in a frame, but was getting to much of a glare.

I love you Grandpa Joe. Someday I will be with you, Grandma Poo, and Grandma and Grandpa Purdy again.

These red roses were on the Communion Table next to our Unity Candle at our wedding. They were in memory of our 7 grandparents who were no longer with us.
